No wonder the author of these five books about their adventures (The Mellops Go Flying, The Mellops Go Diving for Treasure, The Mellops Strike Oil, The Mellops Go Spelunking and Christmas Eve at the Mellops), is Tomi Ungerer, son and grand-son of ingenious inventors of astronomical clocks ! Following on from him and using recyclable items, we build a propeller plane, a rocket to reach the moon, a submarine in search of treasure buried in the ocean, a magic machine that makes triple-layer cakes... everyone creates a new invention of the Mellops family !
